Dear Mrs. Miller- I am addressing you because I do not know the name of the proper person and hope you will give this to her.

I am interested to learn of the opening of "The Women's Center" at Barnard and especially of the Research Collection.

My sister, Elsa G. Becker class of 1914, was a pioneer in the guidance movement. She died on Dec. 27, 1967. She had become Administrative Assistant in change of guidance at Christopher
Columbus High School, where she headed a department of 15-20 trained counselors.

Educators from many foreign countries came to visit the school to see what was being done in that field. It was the only fully-staffed department of its kind in N.Y.C.

Naturally, there were publications written by her under the sponsorship of the Board of Education. I have some

copies and should like to put them in the right place. Would the "Women's Center" be interested in having them?

 Sincerely,
 Grace H. Becker
