Dear Kate,

Here is the final version of the talk --
much shorter and tighter and, I hope, a good
deal more ”sayable” than the first disjointed
working version.

I have tried to incorporate all your
excellent ideas in the revision. The relation-
ships between.Task Force, College and alumnae,
and the weight of the Task Force's recomenda-
tions have, I hope, been clarified. Also I
have paraphrased the report throughout, since
much direct quotation is awkward in an oral
presentation. The paragraph at the top of
page 4 should adequately explain the fact that
much of what follows comes from the report,
and that it is an effort additional to academic
programs for women. I hope you agree.

I am looking forward to working with you
on some of the alumnae-oriented projects in
the fall —- I too found our last meeting
very satisfying.
