Scrapbook of Barnard College alum Grace R. Greenbaum documenting her first two years at Barnard from 1911-1913. The scrapbook contains programs, photographs, menus, newspaper clippings, dance cards, drawings, and written notes from other students. Of note are a program that includes Grace's father, Justice Samuel Greenbaum, from a memorial meeting in honor of Julia Richman, the first woman district superintendent of the New York City schools and first president of the Young Women’s Hebrew Association. The scrapbook also includes a newspaper clipping about the participation of Freda Kirchwey, Grace's friend and classmate, in the garment workers’ strike of 1912. Greenbaum married Barrett Epstein in 1917, and took the name Epstein. Due to brittle and deteriorating paper, the original scrapbook binding is no longer intact.
