What are the implications for the and for scholars in their own research,

their understanding of women, and their understanding of their field?

These questions will be the focus of an all-day conference and will be examined in the morning by three concurrent panels of scholars from different disciplines and in the afternoon by small workshops planned around the theme, "Scholarship and

Feminism:

Conflict, Compromise, Creativity."

The morning panelists are Electa Arenal, Hispanic literature; Carolyn Shaw Bell, economics; Constance Carroll, classics; Kate Ellis, English; Lee Ehrman, biology; Gerda Lerner, history; Linda Nochlin, art history; Miriam Schneir, history; Vic- toria Schuck, political science; Janet Siskind, anthropology; Judith Jarvis Thom-

son, philosophy; Naomi weisstein, psychology.

The conference will be limited to 250 participants with a format designed to pro-

vide maximum opportunity for discussion and exchange of ideas.

Participants will

be preassigned to the panels and workshops in order to have as wide a diversity of background, academic field, and interest as possible.

9:30 - 10:00 a.m.

10:00 - 12:30 p.m.

12:30 - 2:00 p.m.

2:00 - 4:30 p.m.

4:30 — 6:00 p.m.

Registrations will be accepted in order of receipt. the attached registration form with your fee no later than March 25, 1974.
